Mihail Blagoev was born and raised in Bulgaria. From an early age he had a clear vision of what he wanted to accomplish and felt compelled to work tirelessly to make that happen. While studying Business Administration and Finance, he began helping in the family business that dealt with Oil and Petroleum Trading, Agriculture and Construction. In 2009 Mihail decided to move on to an American medical device company, heading the sales and marketing department outside the United States. That first exposure to the medical field paved the way to Mihail’s path as an entrepreneur as he genuinely believed that the medical device market needs products and services to fill a significant void.
In 2013, Mihail was approached by an American company called Global OrthoBiologic Inc. and he consequently took the role of Vice President. In the years to come, he vigorously transformed the company a Global Regenerative Group with 4 subsidiaries in Trade, Academy, Care and Finance, operating worldwide.
Mihail always believed that the most important quality an entrepreneur should possess is the ability to recognize the bigger picture, find where there is an opportunity to make someone’s life better and do it. Ultimately, it is the vision of the entrepreneur that dictates the future of the company. It is that exact vision that helped Mihail pursue a number of very successful investment opportunities primarily in early stage companies.
Making a social impact is as important to Mihail as developing new products and services. Mihail is currently participating in a variety of social enterprises such as a Medical Center for invasive regenerative therapies and a Foundation that helps people (mostly children) manage existing pathological conditions and diseases.
At the beginning of 2020, Mihail joined Orthoist clinic for advanced sports surgery, based in Turkey, as a business development manager.
Mr. Diyan Ganev, M.D., born and raised in a beautiful city just in the middle of Bulgaria – the city of Linden, Stara Zagora. He studied management and banking in his home town, then he decided to transfer into the humanitarian spectrum – Medicine. He is now graduating from Medical university of Sofia as a Medical Doctor. He has both clinical and scientific interests in the field of Orthopedics, Sports Medicine and Pain management, Dermatology, Urology, Hematology and Immunology.
During his years in Medical University he developed a strong personality towards management and professionality. In 2015, he joined the Association of Students Explorers as one of its founders and Scientific director. He managed the International Biomedical Congress for its editions in 2017 and 2018.
He participated in scientific groups – Biochemistry and Pharmacology department. He has substantial interest and experience in the translational science that was done there. He worked with mesenchymal stem cells from dental pulp and neuropsychotics. He was board member of the Student Council as a Scientific Director and Editor in Chief to the scientific journal Praemedicus, publishing in the field of medicine, dentistry, pharmacology and public health.
In 2016 he joined the first bulgarian cross-functional team for genetical engineering. The team managed to create a system for enhanced mutagenesis via silencing of DNA reparation genes in the E.coli genome. This won the team a Silver medal in a rivalry with 300 international teams at the iGEM (internationally genetically modified machine) in Hynes convention center, Boston, MA, USA.
In 2017 he joined as Chief Innovation Officer in a prominent biotechnology startup – Printivo. This is a 3D bioprinting company that uses natural materials such as collagen and chitosan to bioprint 3 dimensional scaffolds that can sustain cellular life in vitro. The long term goal of Printivo is creation of artificial organs and personalized in vitro testing models.
In 2018 he joined the Global Regenerative Academy as a Co-CEO with emphasis on creating a platform for international knowledge exchange and value creation in the field of Regenerative Medicine. The Global Regenerative Congress is part of the Academy and both of them function under no other banner rather than their own as they are completely industry-independent! “Everything we do is believe we are challenging the status quo. We believe of thinking about medicine in a different, industry-independent way.” is what is written on the home page of the Congress.
Regenerative medicine is a new and exciting field where scientists, doctors and engineers collaborate and create new treatment options and innovations. Regenerative Medicine is truly the Future of Medicine!
Mr. Ganev, M.D. aspires to play a large part of the future of genetical engineering, microbiology, 3D bioprinting technology, stem cell science, AI and ML and their application for living longer and healthier.
