Global Regenerative Congress

GLOBAL REGENERATIVE CONGRESS

The Global Regenerative Congress /GRC/ 2019 is the largest event in the field of Regenerative Medicine.

During the GRC 2019, physicians have the opportunity to meet their high demands regarding the Basic Science of Regenerative Medicine and gain practical experience with biologics in each respective medical specialty.

In addition, participating physicians will become part of the Global Regenerative Academy /GRA/ community, an international platform bringing together forward-looking medical doctors and scientists through continuous education and practice in the current state of the art in Regenerative Medicine.

In recent years we have noticed a paradigm shift in the medical industry – scientists have discovered ways to enhance the natural healing process in the body.

The advancing application of regenerative therapies in clinical practice has accumulated new knowledge in the literature. Studies have shown that patients heal quickly, slow down the development of their disease (depending on the pathology), avoid complex and stressful surgeries and respond with better compliance. On the other hand, the few side effects and the relatively straight forward technique come to the physician’s benefit at taking relatively smaller risks.

Improvements (up to 150 words):

I participated at the symposium on guidelines and the development of transfusiology in the new millennium, in Cambridge in 2000, at the invitation of Prof. Jean Pierre Allain, as the only honorary guest from the territory of the former Yugoslavia. During 2001, I was on professional training in one of the most famous European clinics “Polyclinic San Matteo” in Pavia, at the invitation of the leading transfusiologist Dr. Cesare Perotti. I met and perfected the work in the department of apheresis, transplantation and cryopreservation of stem cells, obtaining cord blood from the umbilical cord, cryopreservation of the thrombocytes, immunoselectivity, flow cytometry, immunohematology, regenerative medicine, blood products and transfusion transplantation.

Other information I consider relevant (up to 100 words)

I introduced a new procedure – analysis of platelet antigens by flow cytometry, which is used as the only one in Serbia and its surroundings. I made a great contribution to improving the method of collecting and cryopreservation of platelets using the programmed freezing.

I speak Italian (conversational level), English (middle level 2) and Russian. I am a member of the Serbian Medical Society – Section for Transfusiology and the World Organization for Transfusiology (ISBT). I had oral presentations at ISBT congresses. I am a member of the editorial board of the journal “Transfusion Medicine Bulletin” and a reviewer of papers that are printed in it, as well as in the “Vojnosanitetski pregled”. I was the organizer of the Section for Transfusiology of SLD with the theme “Hemovigilans” and the application of NAT in transfusion medicine held at the MMA. Currently serving as vice president of the Serbian Medical Society – Section for Transfusiology. In addition, I am the “key opinion leader” in Serbia for the area of the platelet gel and the introduction of new technologies in the treatment of chronic wounds.
