Limassol, Cyprus – The Global Regenerative Academy (GRA) is pleased to confirm that the 6th Global Regenerative Congress (GRC) will be held in Limassol, Cyprus, in March 2026. With Dr. Michalis Chrysostomou elected as Conference President, this landmark event will focus on setting vital global standards for the preparation and use of regenerative components derived from blood, bone marrow, and adipose tissue in clinical practice.
The GRC serves as the premier global gathering of leading medical professionals, researchers, and clinicians dedicated to the field of regenerative medicine. This congress will center on building a consensus around the preparation of regenerative components that have the potential to transform patient care. These innovations are already showing significant promise in various areas such as orthopedics, gynecology, urology, plastic surgery, and beyond.
About the Global Regenerative Academy (GRA):
Founded in 2019, the Global Regenerative Academy (GRA) is an independent, nonprofit organization committed to advancing the science and practice of regenerative medicine. With a mission to improve patient outcomes through research, education, and collaboration, GRA brings together experts from around the world to establish transparent, scientifically validated guidelines for regenerative therapies.
What sets the GRA apart is its unwavering commitment to remaining free from commercial influence, ensuring that all standards and guidelines developed are based on the highest levels of scientific evidence and ethical practice. This commitment allows the GRA to serve as a trusted authority in the rapidly advancing field of regenerative medicine.
The Importance of Consensus-Building:
As regenerative therapies evolve, the need for consistent global standards becomes more critical than ever. The 6th GRC will place a particular focus on standardizing the preparation, handling, and application of regenerative components. These components, derived from natural sources such as blood, bone marrow, and adipose tissue, are widely recognized for their ability to promote healing and improve patient outcomes across various medical fields.
The process of reaching a global consensus is rigorous and involves collaboration between experts from multiple disciplines. By bringing together top researchers and clinicians, the GRA aims to create comprehensive, evidence-based guidelines that can be adopted by healthcare systems worldwide. This ensures that regenerative therapies can be delivered safely, effectively, and consistently, no matter where they are applied.
Dr. Dzihan Abazovic, President of the Global Regenerative Academy, emphasized the importance of the congress:
“The 6th Global Regenerative Congress will be a turning point for the field. By coming together to establish global standards, we ensure that the use of regenerative components will be based on solid scientific evidence and applied with the utmost integrity in healthcare settings around the world.”
Dr. Michalis Chrysostomou, Conference President, echoed this sentiment:
“I am honored to preside over the 6th GRC in Limassol. This congress will not only showcase cutting-edge advancements but will also lead to the creation of global standards that will guide the future of regenerative medicine. Our goal is to provide a framework that ensures these life-changing therapies are used safely and effectively, to the benefit of patients everywhere.”
Dr. Michalis Chrysostomou’s Background:
Dr. Michalis Chrysostomou has been a leader in obstetrics, gynecology, and fertility for more than three decades. He earned his medical degree from the University of Goettingen in Germany in 1984 and specialized in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Alexandra Hospital in Athens, Greece, in 1992. He completed further training in In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) at the Reproductive Fertility Centre and Kings College Hospital in London. Dr. Chrysostomou is the founder of several medical institutions, including the Evangelismos Private Hospital in Paphos, Cyprus, and the IASO IVF Reproductive Centre, and he is a member of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE).
GRA’s Key Initiatives:
- Global Regenerative Congresses (GRC): Annual international events where experts gather to share research, discuss innovations, and develop consensus on the future of regenerative medicine.
- Consensus Groups & Guidelines: Cross-disciplinary teams work together to establish globally accepted guidelines for the use of regenerative components in clinical practice.
- Research & Clinical Projects: Collaborative efforts with leading academic institutions to explore new frontiers in tissue engineering, stem cell therapies, and gene therapy.
- Education & Fellowships: Comprehensive training programs that equip healthcare professionals with the skills and knowledge to safely implement regenerative treatments.
Looking Ahead:
The 6th GRC will establish the standards that will shape the future of regenerative medicine. These consensus-driven guidelines will play a vital role in ensuring the responsible and effective application of regenerative therapies, improving patient outcomes across a range of medical specialties. By the conclusion of the congress, the global medical community will have clear, evidence-based guidelines to follow in the preparation and use of regenerative components.
